Crypto Lender Nexo Sponsors Europe’s Premier Golf Tour in Multi-Million Dollar Deal

Crypto lender Nexo has secured a three-year sponsorship agreement with the DP World Tour, Europe's premier golf competition, committing over $10 million to become the tour's official digital asset and wealth partner through 2027. The deal, described as an eight-figure sum, marks a strategic push into mainstream sports sponsorship for the crypto sector.

The partnership will see one of the tour's flagship events, the Scottish Championship, rebranded as the Nexo Championship. The tournament is scheduled for August 7-10 at TRUMP International Golf Links in Aberdeen, a property owned by former U.S. President Donald Trump.

This MOVE follows Nexo's April announcement of re-entering the U.S. market after a 2022 exit, when regulatory negotiations over its Earn Interest Product stalled. "The United States is once again a place where innovation is championed," said Nexo co-founder Antoni Trenchev, praising the Trump administration's approach to digital assets.
